Non-Discrimination Policy

In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its implementing regulation Village SurgiCenter will directly, or through contractual or other arrangements, admit and treat all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, age (under 6 months of age), sex, religion, handicap or disability in its provision of services and benefits, including assignments or transfers within the facility and referrals to or from the facility. Staff privileges are granted without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, religion, handicap or disability (unless reasonable accommodations cannot be provided).

In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and its implementing regulation Village SurgiCenter will not directly or through contractual or other arrangements, discriminate on the basis of handicap in admissions, access, treatment or employment.

The Administrator has been designated as the Coordinator for implementation of this policy.

In accordance with the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 and its implementing regulation Village SurgiCenter will not, directly or through contractual arrangements, discriminate on the basis of age in the provision of services, unless age is a factor necessary to the normal operation or the achievement of any statutory objective.

Village SurgiCenter non-discriminatory policy applies to all patients, health care providers, and staff. This policy shall apply to the following areas: 
a) Outpatient admission or care.
b) Assignment of patients, or staff to rooms, floors or sections.
c) Assignment of staff to patients.
d) Staff privileges or professionally qualified personnel.
e) Utilization of Village SurgiCenter.
f) Discharge or transfer of patients from Village SurgiCenter.
